Alexander’s was found in the year 1971. The founders were John Neff Jr., Earl Beasley and Jack C. Massey. The first restaurant of the chain was opened in Nashville, Tennessee. Initially the company was known by the name Volunteer Capital Corporation. The motive behind establishment of these restaurants was to build up a decent place for casual dining purposes. The business strategy used by the company for expansion of its business on large scale was targeting of the areas with huge population. The company thus looked for the market of more than 1.5 million in metropolitan areas. The company purchased restaurants like Mrs. Winner’s chicken and Biscuit and thus the name of the company was changed to Winners Corporation. In 1991, the company opened the first J.
