Chuy’s is located in Texas serving Tex -Mex cuisines since 1982. It is located in over 80 locations and 7 more restaurants are just on their way for opening after construction. The newest chuy’s is now located in corpus Christi, Texas which opened up in November 2016. The dishes served at Chuy’s include enchiladas, tacos, nachos and a lot more of Tex-Mex classics. Chuy’s love celebrations and they celebrate Elvis’ Birthday every year on 8 Jan. This involves an Elvis impersonator entertaining guests by visiting the restaurants of Chuy’s. There are numerous other celebrations as well like Green Chile festival which celebrates the Hatch Green Chile’s harvest, Hot to Trot 5K and children giving to children holiday parade. History of Chuy’s
It’s the iconic Barton Springs Road where Chuy’s opened up in an old Texas BBQ joint in April 1982. Its founders Mike Young and John Zapp made this restaurant a reality with a vision in mind to offer funky and fun Tex-Mex food which will be always prepared from fresh produce in an appealing environment. To achieve the funky look that it now has, decorator Jose Cuervo gave Chuy’s its iconic look with hand carved wooden fish, hubcaps hanging bright above booths and a lot of eclectic touches. THey offer Tex-Mex food but there is also a lot innovation in their food because they like to experiment with the palettes of the patrons to give them something new and fresh every time they visit. After 15 restaurants, Chuy’s decided to venture out of Texas and make themselves available to other people as well. Its the love they had and still have for their cuisine and so they wanted to share with a lot of other people too. By the year 2009 they moved to other places like Nashville. They are still opening at other locations so that no heart is untouched when it comes to the good food they have.
